Prayagraj: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has extended the deadline for candidates applying for the Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services (PCS) General/Special Selection Examination-2026, providing relief to aspirants facing technical difficulties on the commission’s website.According to the revised schedule, candidates can now submit their online applications and deposit the examination fee till Aug 3, against the earlier deadline of July 27.The deadline for rectifying errors in the application forms and adjusting the examination fee has also been extended to Aug 10.UPPSC officials said the deadline was revised due to heavy traffic on the server and technical problems affecting the smooth functioning of the commission’s website.A large number of candidates attempting to submit their applications simultaneously had put considerable pressure on the server, resulting in difficulties for several aspirants.According to UPPSC deputy secretary Virendra Mani Tripathi, the extension will allow candidates to complete their applications within the revised deadline.
