Prayagraj: The UP Board has announced the schedule for the 2026 class X improvement and compartment examination and class XII compartment examination.According to Board Secretary Bhagwati Singh, both examinations will be conducted on July 28 at designated centres across all district headquarters in the state.The class X improvement and compartment examination will be held from 8.30 am to 11.45 am, while that of class XII, the compartment examination will take place from 2 pm to 5.15 pm.A total of 42,078 candidates have registered for the examinations, including 20,851 for class X and 21,227 for class XII.To ensure transparency and fairness, all examination rooms will be equipped with CCTV cameras with voice-recording facilities, and the footage will be monitored round the clock. The storage and distribution of question papers will also remain under CCTV surveillance.The board has directed principals to download admit cards from its official website and distribute them to candidates well before the examination. Candidates have been asked to report to their respective examination centres at least 45 minutes before the commencement of the examination. Carrying mobile phones, smartwatches and other electronic devices inside the examination centre will be strictly prohibited.The project-based practical examination and internal assessment for class X improvement and compartment exam, along with class XII compartment practical examination, will be conducted on July 16 and 17. Examiners will be appointed by the regional offices, while the examinations will be held under the supervision of the respective District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) at designated govt or aided institutions.The board has advised candidates to remain in touch with their school principals or the office of the DIOS for examination-related information. It has also directed schools to submit the marks of class X internal assessments and class XII practical examinations to the regional offices concerned by July 20.
