Hazaribag: Two men in their 20s were arrested and sent to judicial custody on Friday in connection with the alleged rape and brutal assault of a 58-year-old woman in Hazaribag district on Sept 1. Several unidentified people have also been booked in the case.According to the complaint, a man known to the survivor allegedly entered her home and raped her. Shortly afterwards, several others allegedly arrived and severely assaulted her, leaving her with serious injuries, including a fractured leg.Her family subsequently lodged a written police complaint. The survivor is undergoing treatment and has been medically examined.Police said the medical report was awaited and its findings would help establish the rape allegation.
