Hazaribag: Taking serious note of persistent traffic snarls on GT Road between Barhi and Chouparan for the past 10 days, Hazaribag deputy commissioner (DC) Hemant Sati on Thursday directed the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), the road construction department, and contractors to expedite repair and construction work.Reviewing ongoing road projects, DC Sati expressed displeasure over repeated traffic snarls and warned the contractor of FIR action if negligence continued to inconvenience commuters.“Ensure significant progress within 24 hours and promptly address complaints on the route. Quality blacktopping work from Mahudi More to Bilautiya More on the GT Road should be executed by the NHAI authorities within a timeframe,” the DC directed officials.Sati also reviewed other road projects and ordered the tender process for the NH-100 stretch from Singhani More to the railway bridge in Kud locality. He further directed repairs of roads damaged during pipeline-laying work and asked the municipal commissioner to initiate FIR proceedings against L&T contractors for allegedly damaging public roads and failing to restore them.
