Sanjay/TNN Panel discussion on labour lawsDistinguished dignitaries, legal experts, govt officials, academia, and paralegal volunteers (PLVs) from Ranchi and Ramgarh districts gathered at National University of Study and Research in law (NUSRL), Ranchi to deliberate on contemporary challenges in labour law, access to justice, and pre-litigation dispute resolution mechanisms. The centre for labour laws research (CLLR), NUSRL and central coalfields limited organized the programme which was titled ‘Labour laws at the crossroads – reforming in a changing economy’. RU takes out anti- tobacco rally Ranchi University’s national service scheme (NSS) members organized a rally in the city to mark the World Tobacco Day. The NSS students took out the rally from the university campus and marched by the Albert Ekka Chowk and Shaheed Chowk to return to the main gate of the university. The rally aimed to educate people on ill-effects of tobacco use and to promote a healthy lifestyle.Seminar on teaching with case studies IIM Ranchi successfullyconcluded a two-day “Teaching with Cases Seminar” aimed at enhancing facultycapabilities in case-based teaching methodology and participant-centredlearning. The seminar focused on strengthening the use of case pedagogy as aneffective tool for developing critical thinking and decision-making abilitiesamong students. Professor Willis M Emmons Senior Lecturer of BusinessAdministration at Harvard Business School provided valuable insights into theapplication of case-based teaching in higher education.SBU student wins silver in taekwondo competition Sarla Birla University (SBU)’s BBA student Ayush Raj has bagged silver medal in the PTF Open international taekwondo championship held in Srinagar from May 30 to June 2.
