Salem: Two people were arrested on Tuesday, for stabbing a private law college student in Salem city, on Sunday evening, following an argument.The arrested have been identified as Murugan, 50, a local shopkeeper, and his son Sathishkumar, 24. Police said K Sandeep, 22, from Aranmanai in Thanjavur district studies at a private law college in the city. “On Sunday evening when he was waiting for a bus, a two-wheeler hit him and in the dispute that followed, the father, son duo attacked Sandeep with a knife,” said a police officer from Kannankurichi station. Sandeep suffered serious injuries and was admitted to the Salem Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College and Hospital for treatment. Based on his complaint, Kannankurichi police registered a case and arrested the two on Tuesday.
