Ahmedabad: In separate cases, a 63-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man died from burns in fires caused by gas leaks on Monday. The woman, Sharda Prajapati, a Chandlodia resident, was making tea on March 29 when a gas leak triggered a sudden blaze. She was admitted to a private hospital but succumbed on Monday. Sola High Court police registered a case of accidental death.In the other incident, Raju Manat, a labourer living in Naranpura’s Chamundanagar area, suffered critical burns after a gas leak at his residence led to a fire around 5am on March 31. The native of Rampur village in Rajasthan’s Dungarpur district was admitted to Sola Civil Hospital where he died on Monday. tnn
