Times News NetworkKanpur: Police arrested two men on Tuesday in connection with the fatal shooting of a woman at Satti Chaura, claiming the murder case was solved within 24 hours.Santosh Nishad alias Kallu (30) and Vinod Nishad alias Modi (23), both sons of Nanku and residents of Kallupurwa Katri Pipar Khera under Gangaghat police station in Unnao district, were arrested near Chhabil Purwa turn Baraat Ghar.Police said they recovered a country-made pistol allegedly used in the killing and an Apache motorcycle, registration number UP 35 BZ 9057, allegedly used during the crime.The case was registered on August 30 following a written complaint by Anjali Nishad, daughter of Om Prakash Nishad and a resident of Circuit House under Cantt police station in Kanpur Nagar.Vinod, Santosh, Anshu, son of Om Prakash, and two unidentified people were booked under Sections 103 (1), 351 (2) and 3 (5) of BNS. Three police teams were formed to trace the accused, while Arvind Kumar Rai conducted the investigation.Police said Section 3/25 of the Arms Act is being added following the arrests and recovery. The accused were sent to district jail.
