Ranchi: A total of 713 officials heading the police stations and outposts of various wings of police administration would undergo training for improving their operational capabilities and also behaviour with people.Director General of Police (DGP) Tadasha Mishra inaugurated the programme at the Investigation Training School in Hotwar in Ranchi on Tuesday.A statement issued by police headquarters on the issue stated that the subjects of the programme are police behaviour with people, standard operating procedure related to media briefing, mandatory provisions of BNSS concerning women and child victims, provisions of search and seizures, provisions related to forensic science laboratory team as per BNSS, prosecution issues and the crime and criminal tracking networks system.The training is aimed at educating police personnel on new legal provisions and also ensure transparent, quick and fair action by them at the level of police stations, the statement said.Source stated that police personnel would be trained on nine different dates during the current month in batches of around 80. Among the main trainers would be Jharkhand police officers and experts from the Indian Institute of Management Ranchi.
