Lucknow: The cabinet on Monday approved setting up of a private university, named Amardeep University in Firozabad.
The decision has been taken under the provisions of the UP Private Universities Act, 2019. The Act ensures proper arrangements for the establishment, regulation and functioning of private universities, said a govt spokesperson.
He added that the establishment of this university will create new opportunities for quality higher education in the state and provide youth with modern and employment-oriented education.
