Vadodara: Three youths were killed and three others seriously injured after two motorcycles collided head-on near Vanskhiliya village on the Anand-Borsad Road late Sunday night, police said.The accident occurred near Neejanand Resort, leaving both motorcycles badly damaged and their riders sprawled on the road with severe injuries.According to police and local residents, the two motorcycles were travelling at high speed when they collided head-on. The force of the impact left the riders critically injured.The deceased have been identified as Armaan Rafiq Rana (19) and Sameer Rajesh Rana, both residents of Napa Vanta village, and Ansar Zuber Belim of Borsad. All three succumbed to their injuries.The injured have been identified as Tanveer Rana of Napa Vanta and Aslam Khan and Zuber Kazi, both from Borsad. They were rushed to the medical college hospital in Karamsad and Anand General Hospital for treatment.Local residents and passing motorists rushed to the accident site and alerted the police and ambulance services.The news of the three deaths plunged Borsad and Napa Vanta into grief. Relatives and local residents gathered at the hospitals as news of the tragedy spread.Anand Rural police have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the fatal collision. The bodies were sent for postmortem examinations as part of the investigation.
