Erode: Three people were arrested on Monday, for stealing a cow and a calf in Gobichettipalayam in Erode district, last week.District police identified the arrested as M Palanisamy, 43, R Somasundaram, 37, and R Cholamuthan, 29, of Polavakkalipalayam village. Sathasivam, 48, of Polavakkalipalayam had filed a police complaint on March 6, stating that a cow and a calf were stolen from his garden. Police subsequently arrested the accuse following an investigation. “The stolen cows were recovered, and a pickup van used to transport the stolen cows was also seized,” said Erode district SP A Sujatha.All three accused were remanded in judicial custody at the Coimbatore central prison.
