The grand procession drew people of all ages

Vadodara: Faith and devotion filled the streets of Vadodara on Thursday as thousands of devotees participated in the annual Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra. Amid chants of Jai Jagannath, the grand procession wound its way through the city, drawing people of all ages who lined the route to offer prayers and seek blessings.The yatra began from Sayajigunj and passed through Kothi Crossroads, Raopura and Nyay Mandir before culminating near Polo Ground. Children dressed in colourful traditional attire rode on the chariots, while devotees danced to the tunes of Hare Krishna bhajans, adding to the festive spirit.The city police maintained a tight security blanket throughout the procession to ensure it passed off peacefully. Thousands of police personnel, led by senior officers, were deployed at strategic locations along the route. Eight drones monitored sensitive areas in the old city, while officers equipped with body-worn cameras kept constant vigil over the procession.
