Hyderabad: The Telangana govt on Tuesday appointed M Satyanarayana Reddy as chairman of the newly constituted Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Devasthanam board at Yadagirigutta. Among the nominated members is Konidela Surekha, wife of actor Chiranjeevi. The board has been constituted under the Telangana Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments (Amendment) Act, 2025.Besides the chairman, the nominated members are MLA Vinod Venkataswamy, Konidela Surekha, Chilappagari Vijayarajam, Vijayender Tulla, Pochaboina Eshwaramma Yadav, Gundu Mallaiah, Swathi Kantamani, M Raghavendar Rao, and Dr Lakshminarayana Naik. The Founder Trustee is also a member of the board.The ex-officio members include the Telangana chief secretary, principal secretary of the revenue (Endowments) department, commissioner of endowments, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district collector, vice-chairman of the Yadagirigutta temple development authority, executive officer of the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Devasthanam, and the sthanacharya or senior-most pradhana archaka.According to the govt order, the chairman and nominated members will serve a two-year term or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The temple’s executive officer has been directed to administer the oath of office and secrecy to the chairman and the nominated members.
