Kanpur District magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh on Monday inaugurated the ‘Tere Mere Sapne’ pre-marital communication centre, established on the initiative of the National Commission for Women, at the One Stop Centre near Gol Chauraha.The centre aims to help prospective couples understand the importance of communication and mutual understanding in married life. The initiative seeks to prevent minor disagreements between couples from escalating into serious family disputes because of a lack of communication.Young men and women whose marriages have been finalized or who are preparing to tie the knot can avail themselves of counselling services at the centre. They will receive expert guidance on the responsibilities, challenges and expectations associated with a successful married life.The initiative is intended to equip couples with better communication skills and help them build healthy and harmonious relationships before entering into marriage.The DM said the National Commission for Women’s ‘Tere Mere Sapne’ initiative is a significant effort to foster better communication and mutual understanding between prospective couples prior to marriage, he added.………………..
