Amritsar: Although Tehran came under heavy bombardment during the US-led strikes, the Bhai Ganga Singh Sabha Gurdwara remained unaffected.Local social activist and educationist Dr N A Soufi said on Monday that civilian neighbourhoods were not targeted in the ongoing action. “The gurdwara and nearby localities are safe,” he said. Most Indo-Iranians currently in India said they were unable to obtain updated information due to poor telephone and internet connectivity in Iran. However, they maintained that civilian areas were largely spared.
