Kanpur: Muharram was observed on Friday in Rawatpur village, where processions and taziadars from various areas, including Dada Nagar, Vijay Nagar, Shastri Nagar, Kakadeo, Geeta Nagar, Sharda Nagar and neighbouring areas gathered to bury the tazias at Rawatpur Karbala.During the event, all taziyadars were warmly welcomed by the committee. Like previous years, the committee members organized a fair within the Karbala premises which was inaugurated by DCP (West) SZ Qasim Abdi and ACP (Kalyanpur) DK Singh.The committee president Sarfaraz Khan, general secretary Kaif Mohd Khan, and deputy general secretary Nisar Ahmad honoured the attendees by presenting them with badges. The fair lasted till late evening hours.
