Hyderabad: The dispute between endowments minister Konda Surekha and Station Ghanpur MLA Kadiyam Srihari reached AICC in charge of Telangana Meenakshi Natarajan on Tuesday with the minister meeting the latter and complaining against the legislator.Surekha brought to Meenakshi’s notice that the MLA was acting in a manner that undermined her self-respect and was dragging her into unnecessary controversies. She reportedly explained all aspects of the ongoing dispute between the two to Meenakshi.After patiently listening to the minister’s account, the Telangana Congress affairs in charge advised her to exercise restraint. However, Konda Surekha expressed her anguish, stating that she was being unnecessarily drawn into conflicts while simply trying to carry out her duties. In response, Meenakshi advised Surekha not to pay too much heed to trivial matters and assured her to look into the issue.Meenakshi held a series of meetings with party MPs, MLAs, District Congress presidents and other important leaders and enquired about their social media activities, their success in taking govt welfare schemes and development agenda to the doorsteps of the people.“She mainly asked about the image of the party among the people as the Congress govt has completed 30 months in office. After enquiring about the work being done by the MPs, MLAs, DCC presidents and others, she asked their opinion on what should be done to ensure that Congress comes back to power with a bigger majority in the next assembly election,” a source privy to the meeting told TOI.Meenakshi is expected to discuss the future strategy, welfare schemes and other organisational matters with chief minister A Revanth Reddy and TPCC president B Mahesh Kumar Goud soon.Congress MP Renuka Choudhary, after meeting Meenakshi, said BJP and BRS were focusing on Congress leaders who were not happy with the party leadership and that both parties would surge if the grand old party does not take care of its leaders. She suggested that counter strategies should be adopted to beat BRS and BJP at their own game.Meanwhile, Congress MLC Vijayashanti has found fault with police over the Pocso case accused going on a killing spree in Shabad and later being found dead. In a post on ‘X’, she advised that the govt should improve security measures for women and ensure that “there is no compromise on the law and order situation front”.Meenakshi Natarajan held a series of meeting with MPs, ministers, MLAs on party strengthening activities with main focus on ongoing SIR and their contribution in ensuring eligible voters participated in the important exercise.
