Jhansi: A delegation led by Samajwadi Party district president Brijendra Singh Bhojla submitted a memorandum addressed to the UP Governor Anandiben Patel through the DM Jhansi, highlighting various public issues affecting Jhansi district and the Bundelkhand region.The delegation raised concerns over persistent electricity shortages, drinking water scarcity, rising inflation, unemployment, farmers’ grievances, poor healthcare services, and issues related to the future of youth in the region.The memorandum also called for an impartial investigation into alleged paper leak incidents in competitive examinations, including NEET, stricter action against illegal liquor sales, removal of irregularities at crop procurement centres, and an inquiry into complaints related to smart meters.The delegation further demanded adequate compensation for farmers whose land is being acquired for the Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority (BIDA) and Bundelkhand Link Road projects.Additionally, party workers staged a protest and sought a special action plan for the conservation and revival of key water bodies and rivers in Jhansi, including Laxmi Talab, Atiya Talab, the Pahuj River, and the Sukhnai River.They also demanded a transparent investigation into works carried out under the Smart City project and the expenditure incurred, with complete details being made public, alleging gross irregularities.
