Kanpur: Shiksha Mitras constitute a strong link in the education system, said minister for higher education Yogendra Upadhyaya.He said that they play a pivotal role in delivering quality education, particularly in rural and remote areas. He added that the govt is continuously working to strengthen the education system, and priority is being accorded to the interests of teachers and Shiksha Mitras.He was addressing an event held to felicitate Shiksha Mitras at Merchant Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday.He highlighted their contributions of those serving in Parishad schools. The objective of the ceremony was to boost the morale of the shiksha mitras and inspire them to enhance the quality of education.The minister-in-charge stated that the honorarium of Shiksha Mitras has been increased from 10,000 to 18,000, which will lead to an improvement in their standard of living. He presented the selected Shiksha Mitra with demo cheques.Felicitated Shiksha Mitra’s included Dushyant Singh Yadav from Kakwan, Surendra Singh from Bilhaur, Ranjana from Bhitargaon, Smriti Mishra from Chaubepur, Babita Kuril from Kalyanpur, Vinay from Sarsaul, Ranjana Mishra from Shivrajpur, Pooja Singh from Patara, Hemant Awasthi from Bidhanu and Soni Bhadauria from Ghatampur, as well as Tribhuvan and Vivek Mishra from the urban area.
