Kanpur: Oxford Model Senior Secondary School won the overall championship of Inter-School DeadLift (Boys & Girls) championship concluded at Seth Moti Lal Khedia Sanatan Dharma Inter College Vishnupuri here on Monday.Host Motilal Khedia School emerged as runner up and Adarsh Education Centre got the third place in the championship. Alok Chaurasia of Air Force School and Ozal Bajpai of the Chintels School were adjudged as the best lifters in boys & girls’ group respectively.Chief guest Suman Chandola, principal of the host school, presented trophies and medals to the winners. She said “Sports are not only a medium of physical development but it also develops confidence and leadership. Saurabh Gaur, secretary, Kanpur Powerlifting Association proposed the vote of thanks.
