Times News NetworkKanpur:A pet German Shepherd that killed a 90-year-old woman in Vikas Nagar on March 19 2025 attacked her elderly daughter-in-law on Saturday night again, seriously injuring both her hands. The municipal corporation said that the dog would be captured on Tuesday and would be sent to the shelter home.The woman was admitted to a private hospital in Sarvodaya Nagar.Neighbours said the dog, belonged to the family in Rawatpur police station area of Vikas Nagar. After last year’s incident, the deceased’s grandson brought the dog back by submitting an affidavit to the municipal corporation.The dog attacked 90-year-old Mohini Trivedi, sister of Tribhuvan Prasad Tiwari, former Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, on March 19, 2025, killling her. Mohini was trying to scare Robert with a stick, after which the dog turned aggressive and attacked her.The municipal corporation team took the dog into custody. However, after the family registered the dog with the municipal corporation, the deceased’s grandson secured its release by submitting an affidavit and kept it elsewhere. Neighbours said Prashant brought the dog home on May 1.On Saturday night around 10:30 PM, in Prashant’s absence, the dog attacked his mother Kiran Trivedi, injuring both her hands. Earlier, Prashant claimed it to be a stray dog attack and admitted her to a private hospital in Sarvodaya Nagar, where her condition was stated to be out of danger.Chief veterinary officer Dr RK Niranjan said that the dog is registered, but going by its recent attack, a team would be sent again on Tuesday to capture the dog and confine it to the shelter home.
