Srinagar, Oct 7: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has postponed the provincial holiday on account of Urs of Sheikh Noor-ud-Din Noorani (RA) from Thursday, October 8, to Friday, October 9, 2026.
According to an order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) on Wednesday, the holiday will now be observed on October 9 instead of October 8.
The order, issued as a partial modification of an earlier government order dated December 12, 2025, applies to Kashmir Province only.
