Mysuru: The Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD) launched a citizen-driven initiative titled ‘Vision Mysuru–2050′ under the theme ‘Ink Your Ideas’, aiming to chart a strategic roadmap for the city’s development over the next 25 years.Speaking to reporters on Saturday, Sunil MV, assistant professor at SDMIMD, said the three-day summit will be held from March 14 in collaboration with the Mysuru Grahakara Parishad, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Mysuru, and The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) Mysuru chapter.Vision Mysuru–2050 builds upon earlier planning efforts by placing the city’s future in the hands of its youth. Conceived as a continuous civic movement, the initiative seeks to transform local observations into structured, evidence-based proposals that will be refined into an actionable roadmap.D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala and chairman of SDM Educational Trust, will be the brand ambassador. He emphasised the need for foresight, civic responsibility, and collective participation in shaping Mysuru’s future.MS Shrivathsa, student coordinator, SDMIMD, said, “The initiative focuses on key areas including urban infrastructure and mobility, environmental sustainability, economic development, digital governance, education and healthcare, heritage conservation, social equity, disaster resilience, tourism and culture. Participation is open to citizens, students, professionals, and NGOs.
