Haryana seeks investment agreements worth Rs 66,000 crore as Happening Haryana 2.0 begins in Mumbai.

Chandigarh/Mumbai: Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday launched a three-day global capital outreach campaign in Mumbai, with investment proposals worth over Rs 66,000 crore expected to translate into MoUs during the investor summit from Aug 23 to 25.As part of the ‘Happening Haryana 2.0’ campaign, Saini also met Haryana diaspora families, urging them to contribute as investors, mentors and partners in the state’s development.“I have not come to you asking only for investment, but also for ideas and participation,” Saini said, urging diaspora members to mentor students and startups, support sportspersons, connect women’s self-help groups with markets and help Haryana products reach Mumbai and global markets.Calling Haryanvis settled outside the state an “extended strength” and ambassadors of Haryana, Saini said the state’s economy was expanding beyond agriculture into industry, services, technology, startups, logistics, education, sports and innovation.He called for stronger Haryana-Mumbai institutional links in artificial intelligence, fintech, media and entertainment, electric mobility, clean energy, sports management, agri-tech and global services.Industries and commerce minister Rao Narbir Singh said Haryana was expanding its footprint in industry, IT, automobiles, startups, education, healthcare and services, while industries and commerce commissioner and secretary Amit Kumar Agrawal said industrialists were integral to the state’s development.Saini also said the govt was focusing on quality education, skills and employment for rural youth and connecting farmers with technology, processing, branding and export markets.
