Kolkata: Chandan Sarker, owner of a construction firm, has lodged a complaint at the Survey Park PS against Tarak Chakraborty, former councillor and a former KMC borough chairman, accusing him of Rs 1 crore extortion, death threats and property damage. Sarker claimed Chakraborty used his political clout and local thugs to disrupt his projects as he refused to hand him over his business or pay “protection money”.
