Jabalpur: In a petty road rage incident, a 35-year-old furniture trader was stabbed to death after his car brushed against a motorcycle near Gokulpur Durga Mandir late on Sunday night under Ranjhi police station limits. Police registered a murder case and said crucial leads emerged to trace the unidentified attackers.According to police, the victim, identified as Ekant Sahu, a resident of Adhartal Sabzi Mandi, was returning home when the incident occurred. As he parked his car on the roadside near the temple, it reportedly collided with a motorcycle, leading to a heated argument between him and the biker.Police said the biker called his associates, after which three to four youths arrived on two-wheelers and allegedly assaulted Sahu. During the scuffle, one of the attackers stabbed him in the chest, leaving him critically injured. He was rushed to hospital but was declared dead during the preliminary examination.A case of murder was registered against unidentified accused, and the body was sent for post-mortem. Police said efforts were on to identify and arrest the attackers, adding that several important clues were found and the suspects will be nabbed soon.
