Bhubaneswar: The railways will cancel 14 trains and partially cancel 10 trains originating from or terminating at Puri station on Friday (June 26) because of a scheduled traffic block for launch of girders for a road overbridge (RoB) between Malatipatpur and Puri stations, official sources said on Wednesday.According to an ECoR notification, the cancelled trains include four services operating between Puri and Khurda Road, along with trains running on the Puri-Cuttack-Puri, Puri-Talcher-Puri, Puri-Barbil-Puri and Puri-Paradip-Puri routes. Long-distance trains affected include the Puri-Howrah Shatabdi Express (12277) and the Howrah-Puri Shatabdi Express (12278).Several trains will either terminate before reaching their scheduled destinations or originate from intermediate stations instead of Puri. These include Sealdah-Puri Express, Puri-Angul passenger, Jaleshwar-Puri passenger, Rourkela-Puri passenger and Dasapalla-Puri passenger. While some trains will terminate at Khurda Road, others will be diverted to originate from or terminate at Khurda Road instead of Puri. Only the Sealdah-Puri Express will originate from and terminate at Malatipatpur instead of Puri station.Five long-distance trains will depart later than their scheduled timings on Thursday and Friday. These include the Shri Jagannath Express (18409), Shalimar-Puri Express, Anand Vihar Terminal-Puri Express, Patna-Puri Express and Puri-Rourkela Vande Bharat Express.
