Vadodara: A rape accused, who escaped from police custody two days ago, was arrested by sleuths of the detection of crime branch (DCB) on Wednesday. Ajay Rokade was nabbed from a house in Dhule in Maharashtra after police received intelligence about his whereabouts. Rokade was booked by police under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act in 2020 and was jailed. On Monday, he was brought to the court in Diwalipura for a hearing. He told the police escort that he wanted to go to bathroom and distracted them before fleeing. Police later launched a manhunt for Rokade.
