Gandhinagar: During his day-long visit to Gujarat on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a Jain museum at Koba, launch a semiconductor facility in Sanand, and address a gathering in the newly created Vav-Tharad district, the state govt said on Sunday. The PM will also unveil other projects worth Rs 6,000 crore. An official statement said PM Modi will inaugurate the newly built Samrat Samprati Museum at the Shri Mahavir Jain Aradhana Kendra in Koba village, where he is expected to address a gathering. The museum houses rare artefacts, ancient manuscripts, and sculptures across seven galleries.PM Modi will then inaugurate Kaynes Semicon’s Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) facility at Sanand, being set up at an estimated cost of Rs 3,300 crore, the statement said, adding that the facility will undertake chip packaging and testing, and is expected to produce around 60 lakh chips a day.Later in the afternoon, the PM will visit Lakhni taluka of Vav-Tharad district, where he will address a rally and inaugurate development projects, including rail works, worth over Rs 6,000 crore, the govt said. Apart from the railway projects, the PM will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of 44 urban development projects Gujarat. Thirty-two projects worth Rs 4,640 crore for Ahmedabad are included in the list of projects to be unveiled by the PM, the statement added. The PM will also inaugurate the Heritage Town and Road Beautification Project in Vadnagar.
