Nagpur: Residents of several localities along Umred Road will face a scheduled five-hour power outage on Monday and Tuesday as the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) will undertake urgent maintenance work ahead of the 104th annual Urs of Hazrat Baba Tajuddin.The power utility has planned precautionary maintenance on the 11 kV Tajbagh feeder to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply at the Urs venue. As per MSEDCL, the shutdown will remain in effect from 6 am to 11 am on June 29 and June 30.The scheduled outage will affect consumers in Pili School, Sindhiban, Nirala Society, Thakur Plot, Tajbag, Azad Colony, Shahjahan Chowk, Toheed Nagar, New Bidipeth and Ashirwad Nagar.The maintenance work includes repairs to the AB switch and line jumpers on the 11 kV feeder, along with trimming of tree branches that could pose safety risks or disrupt power supply. Officials said the works are essential to strengthen the distribution network before the influx of thousands of devotees expected for the annual congregation.
