Gurgaon: Three men allegedly abused and pelted stones at policemen during their night patrol duty in Faridabad on Friday, injuring a special police officer in the head.According to police, around 12.30 am, SPO Rajkumar was on night patrol along with another policeman when they spotted three youths fighting among themselves near a juice corner in the main market of Town No. 1. When the police intervened and asked them to return home, the trio abused and pelted them with stones lying on the roadside. SPO Rajkumar sustained an injury to his head in the incident.Police spokesperson Yashpal Yadav said, “A case was registered at Kotwali police station on the complaint of Rajkumar, and the accused have been arrested.”The accused — Lokesh, Nikhil and Pawan, all residents of Ramnagar, Faridabad — were produced before the court and sent to judicial custody.Police investigation revealed that the three men were under the influence of alcohol and were arguing among themselves over an issue and became enraged when the officers intervened.
