Patna: The district administration has extended the suspension of academic activities for students up to Class VIII in all govt and private schools, including pre-schools, till June 30 due to the ongoing heatwave and high temperatures. Patna district magistrate (DM) Kundan Kumar issued the order on Sunday, citing risks to children’s health and safety. Schools have been directed to reschedule academic activities in accordance with the order, which will take effect from June 29.
