Mumbai: North Mumbai MP and Union minister Piyush Goyal resolved 15 complaints from citizens at the Janata Darbar held at Kandivli’s Lok Kalyan office on Sunday. The complaints pertained to the municipal corporation, Mhada, cooperative housing societies, and the police department.Goyal, who is in Delhi, interacted with the citizens via an online platform.Women from the Bandongri area raised complaints about changes in water supply timings, stating that as domestic workers, the new timings created difficulties for them. Residents affected by a redevelopment project in Dahisar claimed that they had been living in rental houses for the past 14 years while the builder had rented out their homes to others. Goyal advised them to lodge a police complaint. Complaints were also received regarding hospitals, road repairs, drinking water, playgrounds, and compensation. Office-bearers of several organisations also attended the Janata Darbar to present their demands.On Saturday, Goyal inaugurated DSCI Advanced Cyber Skill Centre in Kandivli. The centre, organised by the Data Security Council of India (DSCI), a NASSCOM initiative, in collaboration with the Kyndryl Foundation, will train youth in advanced cybersecurity to prepare them for emerging opportunities in India’s digital economy. Goyal stressed that the govt is aiming to make India a skill hub for the world “Cybersecurity is not just a matter of national security; it is about empowering our youth to become the frontline defenders of a digitally secure India.
