Prayagraj: Asserting that there is no scarcity of LPG within the state, deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Sunday accused the Samajwadi Party of engaging in malicious propaganda to spread confusion among the public. He alleged that SP chief Akhilesh Yadav and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi are working to vitiate the atmosphere by indulding in rumour-mongering, but the public would teach them a fitting lesson. Responding to Yadav’s statements regarding LPG crisis, Maurya remarked, “His patriotism certainly comes under suspicion.”He said the SP would face a complete rout in the 2027 assembly polls and urged BJP workers to dedicate themselves to the campaign to ensure that the lotus blooms across all 12 assembly seats in Prayagraj in the 2027 assembly polls. As the Election Commission announced poll schedule in West Bengal, Maurya said the Trinamool Congress is on the verge of being ousted from the state, while the BJP is poised to take office. He observed that a favourable wave is building in support of the BJP, causing panic within the TMC ranks.Meanwhile, BJP leadership hosted a vibrant ‘Basantotsav’ (spring festival) at Parade Ground, where ‘Phoolon ki Holi’ (Holi with flowers) scented the air. Playback singer Kailash Kher’s soulful tunes had the crowd grooving.BJP MP Manoj Tiwari also mesmerised the crowd with his songs and witty remarks. Folk singer Tripti Shakya earned rounds of applause from the audience for her devotional songs (bhajans).
