Prayagraj: Top police and administrative officials in Sangam city were on their toes on the last day of the written examination for recruitment to 4,543 posts of sub inspector (civil police) and equivalent posts under the direct recruitment 2025 process, on Sunday.A team of officials, including DM (Prayagraj) Manish Kumar Verma, along with officials, conducted a surprise inspection at Agrasen Inter College, Govt Girls Inter College, and other exam centres, and issued necessary guidelines.The inspections were carried out with a view to ensuring the safe, uninterrupted, impartial, cheat-free, and transparent conduct. This examination pertained to the Direct Recruitment-2025 for the posts of Sub-Inspector (Civil Police) and equivalent positions within the Uttar Pradesh Police, organised by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, Lucknow.During the inspection, the district magistrate directed the concerned sector magistrates, static magistrates, centre superintendents, and assistant centre superintendents to conduct the examination with a sense of responsibility and sensitivity, ensuring 100% compliance with the prescribed guidelines to guarantee a safe, cheat-free, and transparent process. He further instructed the sector magistrates to remain mobile within their respective sectors throughout the examination duration to supervise the proceedings.Additionally, he directed them to ensure that, upon the conclusion of the examination, all confidential materials were deposited into double-lock custody under police protection, strictly following the designated routes. DM also inspected the CCTV control rooms set up at the examination centres and observed the ongoing monitoring conducted through the surveillance cameras.The examination was conducted in two sessions across 43 examination centres in the Prayagraj district, with 53,760 candidates registered.
