Dharwad: In a major development in the sensational murder case of Neha Hiremath, the bail plea of the accused Fayaz has been rejected by the Dharwad bench of the Karnataka High Court for the third time. The case relates to the brutal murder of Neha on April 18, 2024, at a college campus in Hubballi. The accused allegedly stabbing her to death had created nationwide outrage and drew widespread public attention. Reacting to the court’s decision, advocate Raghavendra Mutagikar, representing Neha’s family, termed the order a victory for justice. The family has complete faith in the judiciary, he added. The advocate further alleged that the accused has been attempting to mislead the court, resulting in delays in the trial process. “Justice may be delayed. But we are confident it will be delivered in our favour,” he said. The case continues to be closely watched across the country due to its serious nature and the public response it has generated.
