Hubballi: Deputy commissioner Snehal R said that the district administration would visit all taluks at least one time every month to review the progress of development programmes.Speaking after receiving the public grievances at the tahasildar’s office, Hubballi, on Monday, she said that public problems would be solved at the earliest and action would be taken to provide quality education. She said an executive plan was prepared for drinking water in the summer season. She said action will be taken to make the administration more people-friendly and strengthen the public grievance system at the taluk and village level. She said officials were instructed to dispose of the grievances within a short period.

Snehal said that preparations are on to solve any drinking water problems. She said water sources are being identified in coordination with the gram panchayat, municipal council and water supply department. She said steps would be taken to ensure that not only the common people but also livestock did not face any drinking water problems. She said discussions will be held with ZP officials regarding the performance of clean drinking water units, and priority will be given to repairing and re-operating the non-functioning units.She said a comprehensive survey was conducted to bring the problem of stray dogs under control. She said a plan is ready to protect, vaccinate and shift the dogs to suitable shelters.DC Snehal also received some grievances from the public.
