Chennai: An elderly couple were found dead at their residence in Tiruvottiyur on Sunday. Police suspect it to be a case of suicide, as they found a note.Kumar, 76, and Kamala, 73, had no children and lived at Sathuma Nagar. On Sunday, a local flower vendor went to check on them as their door remained locked. She found Kumar dead in the hall, and called the authorities. Police found Kamala in the bedroom. The bodies were sent to the Govt Stanley Hospital.
Kamala suffered from health issues, police said. In the note, the couple had said that their relatives usurped their property, leaving them without money for treatment.
