Mysuru: As part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 of the electoral rolls for the Narasimharaja assembly constituency in Mysuru city, the draft voter list was published at the ERO office at Mysuru City Corporation’s election branch on Aug 24 for public information.In this connection, a meeting of leaders and office-bearers of all national political parties functioning within the Narasimharaja assembly constituency was held Monday during which detailed information was shared regarding the publication of the draft electoral roll and the steps to be taken in the upcoming SIR process.Emphasis was placed on the filing and scrutiny of claims and objections, the procedure for issuing notices, appointment of additional AEROs (Additional Assistant Electoral Registration Officers), and the progress made so far in the SIR process within the constituency.Accordingly, a total of 3,27,898 voters in the Narasimharaja constituency were issued enumeration forms. So far, 99,355 voters have been identified under the ASDDO category, and the overall process, including EF digitisation and ASDDO identification, has been completed.The draft electoral roll contains a total of 2,28,543 voters, including 1,09,555 men, 1,18,957 women, and 31 third-gender voters.Political party leaders and representatives were also briefed on the statistical progress of completed anomalies, no-mapping cases, and other SIR-related procedures. In the Narasimharaja assembly constituency, 21,125 anomalies and 560 no-mapping cases have been recorded.Leaders of political parties were informed in detail about the documents voters must submit to prove their eligibility, along with the related verification procedures, a release said. During the meeting, copies of the draft electoral roll were distributed to party leaders/representatives.Claims and objections may be submitted at the concerned ERO/AERO offices or through the designated online system, stated the release.
