Shivamogga: Ahead of Eid Milad festival celebrations and processions across the district, Shivamogga DC Prabhuling Kavalikatti issued prohibitory orders banning the use of DJ music, colour paper blasting and firecrackers from Monday till Aug 28, aimed at maintaining public peace and communal harmony.Eid Milad is scheduled to take place in the district on Wednesday. Official assessments indicated that during processions, the use of colour paper blasting and bursting of firecrackers poses a significant risk of damaging places of worship and potentially hurting the religious sentiments of other communities.“Additionally, the use of high-decibel DJ music during the celebrations causes inconvenience and disruption to the general public, students, senior citizens and patients undergoing treatment in hospitals, creating potential risks to law and order,” officials said.No bike rallies from Aug 25-28DC has issued an order prohibiting bike rallies across the entire district from August 25 to 28.In light of these concerns and based on recommendations submitted by the superintendent of police, the deputy commissioner exercised precautionary powers conferred under Sections 35 and 36 of the Karnataka Police Act, 1963. The district administration confirmed that this prohibitory order will remain enforced across the Shivamogga district from Aug 25 to 28.
