Muslim women joined Hindus to perform Maha Aarti of Lord Ram on the occasion of Ramnavami on Friday. Under the joint aegis of Vishal Bharat Sansthan and Muslim Mahila Foundation, Hindu and Muslim women gathered at Subhash Bhawan and performed aarti of Lord Ram and goddess Janaki. With decorative plates of aarti in their hands, they recited Urdu hymns in praise of Ram and sang songs to the beat of drums. President of Muslim Mahila Foundation Nazneen Ansari said that today countries are fighting but if these countries walk on the path shown by Ram, peace will come. “Ram is the ancestor of our ancestors and no one can stop us from worshipping him ,” she said.tnn
