Hisar: A moving electric car suddenly caught fire on Rajli village road in Barwala area of Hisar district on Saturday night. The driver narrowly escaped by jumping out in time, while the vehicle was completely gutted within minutes.According to reports, Manish of Sulkhani village and an instructor at ITI Barwala was returning home from Barwala in his Tata Tiago EV when the incident occurred. As he reached near Rajli village, he sensed unusual heat inside the car. Acting swiftly, he pulled over to the roadside and stepped out immediately.Manish said within moments of exiting the vehicle, flames erupted and spread rapidly, engulfing the entire car. The fire intensified so quickly that the vehicle was reduced to ashes in no time. He added that even a slight delay could have led to a serious mishap.On receiving information, a fire brigade team rushed to the spot. However, by the time they arrived, the car was already engulfed in flames. Firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control, preventing it from spreading to nearby areas.Preliminary reports suggest a possible technical fault as the cause of the fire, though the exact reason is yet to be ascertained.
