Madhubani: Sarvesh Kumar, a legislative council member from Darbhanga graduate constituency, has submitted a letter CM Nitish Kumar, urging action on several development-related issues concerning the state. In his letter, the MLC highlighted the condition of institutions functioning under Bihar‘s unaided education policy, the issue of rural livelihood and also stressed the need to reduce excessive dependence on chemical fertilisers. He suggested that around 25% of fertiliser use should be replaced with organic alternatives such as cow dung, crop residue and bacterial culture-based compost to maintain soil fertility and ensure stable crop production.
