Pune: A 17-year-old worker died after getting trapped in a stone crusher machine in the Lonikand area off Pune-Nagar highway on Sept 12.Police registered a case against the contractors on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Prince Vijaysingh Dhurve (17), a native of Dindori, Madhya Pradesh. Police constable Ajit Kurhe lodged a complaint at the Lonikand police station.Lonikand police said contractors illegally employed the boy in the crusher which is a hazardous workplace for minors. “He had been working here for the past two months, without any safety equipment. At 2 pm on Sept 12, Dhurve got trapped in the stone crusher machine. He was taken to a hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival.”
