Udupi: In view of the unstable situation prevailing in some Middle Eastern countries and the disruption in international flight services, the Udupi district administration has issued an advisory in the interest of the public.Air routes to 11 countries, including Iran, Israel, Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia, were closed until March 2. Due to this unexpected disruption, many passengers from Karnataka got stranded in various Middle Eastern countries, including the UAE (Dubai). As per the directions of the chief minister and the revenue minister, the State and District Emergency Operation Centres are functioning round the clock. The district administration is closely monitoring the advisories issued by the ministry of external affairs and Indian embassies in the affected countries. In case of visa-related issues, individuals may contact the nearest Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO), the deputy commissioner’s office said in a statement.
