Srinagar, March 18: Jammu and Kashmir is set to experience unpredictable weather till March 20, with generally cloudy skies and intermittent light to moderate rain or snow expected at many places from March 18-20, as per the Meteorological Centre Srinagar. Higher reaches of Chenab valley and South Kashmir may receive moderate to heavy snowfall during this period.
The weather is expected to dry up from March 21-25, with a brief spell of rain or snow likely on March 23. Another spell of rain or snow is expected from March 26-28.
Travellers and transporters are advised to plan accordingly, as important passes may be affected. There’s also a possibility of thunder and gusty winds, with speeds reaching 40-50 KMPH, and isolated hailstorms . Farmers are best to suspend operations during this period.
