Shillong: The Meghalaya govt has issued a public health advisory regarding meningococcal disease in the East Khasi Hills district, with two fatalities reported due to the infection at the Assam Regimental Centre in Shillong recently.
District Surveillance Unit, East Khasi Hills, in coordination with the tate Surveillance Unit (SSU), has initiated an active epidemiological investigation.
