Rajkot: An unidentified man stole a 43-inch LCD screen from the boardroom of the court of second additional civil judge H K Dasani at the Junagadh family court building on Saturday. The screen was estimated to be worth Rs 25,000, according to the police complaint filed at Junagadh B Division police station. Vijesh Zaveri, 55, the registrar in the court of the chief senior civil judge, filed a case against unknown persons under Sections 331(3) and 305 — for burglary and theft — of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.Zaveri reported that on Monday, the display screen in the boardroom was found to be missing. On reviewing CCTV footage from the Saturday afternoon, it was observed that at 2.10pm an unidentified man wearing a black T-shirt entered the boardroom. The person is seen pacing inside the courtroom before removing the display screen from the wall and taking it out of the courtroom. The theft occurred during the recess, when no one was present.
