Buldhana: A man allegedly murdered his younger brother before setting the body on fire at a farm in Rahud village, under Khamgaon taluka, with the help of a friend in a bid to destroy evidence. Police registered a case of murder and arrested both the accused on Friday.The incident came to light after a partially burnt body was found lying in a field. The village police patil alerted the Pimpalgaon Raja police station. A police team carried out a spot panchnama and sniffer dog squad was pressed into service. During the inquiry, the deceased was identified as Chetan Sanjay Ingale (35). Acting on preliminary leads, police detained the victim’s elder brother, Roshan, for questioning. He allegedly confessed to having committed the crime with the help of his friend Ravi Raut.The accused told police that he attacked his younger brother on the head with an iron rod, causing his death on the spot. Police said the exact motive behind the murder is still not clear.Bhagwat Mulik, police inspector at Pimpalgaon Raja police station, said that both the accused are in custody. Further investigation is underway.
